Montessori Math Album-An extension for the 45 layout?

I'm writing my math album for my Montessori training. I'm just about finished with it, but I'm in need of some ideas for extensions to the 45 layout.

The 45 Layout is a long and complex activity.  You could vary or extend it by laying it out vertically instead of horizonally (or vice versa), using squared paper to write out the numbers, or use stamps and ink to replicate the layout on paper.
