  1. check out this website. www.modern-montessori.com  .  Good luck.

  2. I'm not sure that you will get the true concept of the Montessori if its in a shared space.  Dr Maria Montessori wanted calm, and peace and not to much "fuss", which wont work if two feet away there is a wall covered in all sorts of pictures and drawings etc.  What you may be able to do is purchase some of the Montessori toys and have a quiet corner.  My son attended a Montessori day care and it was wonderful.

  3. While I agree with the first poster about not getting the full benefits of the Practical Life area, I also have heard people say what a change they have seen by implementing some of the Montessori ideas into the classroom.

I would start by going to

    http://www.teachers.net/chatboards

Click on the Early Childhood/Preschool chatboard and ask in there.  There was a big discussion on the Montessori environment a few months back and several teachers used some ideas in their classroom.  They can give more practical advice about what they did and what worked...better than I can give.

I would also look at Jenny Yen's page, which has her albums:

The Practical Life album has 124 Activities to it.
