Montessori teachers in australia....?

I plan to work as montessori teacher in australia, i want to ask how much did you earn? and its it hourly payment or monthly payment?

I wasn't going to respond to this question because I never worked in Australia, but I was worried that you would get misled by the last answer and didn't want that to happen.

Montessori teachers are not always paid more than traditional teachers. A lot depends on where you live.

Here in California, unless we work in a public Montessori program we are paid, a great deal less.  Even Charter Montessori schools pay their teachers less than the public school teachers.  

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, like I said, I don't usually answer questions that I don't have the answer to, but I just didn't want you to be misled.

Howdy, I'm not in Australia but the pay of a Montessori teacher in my places may work for your reference.

OK, in Yantai, an east city of China, Montessori teachers are payed 20--25% higher than traditional teachers and they're payed monthly.

Sure that'll be different in Australia. But still sure you'll earn more than a traditional teacher.

Oh, I vist this page today again and  I found the different opinion. I felt sad and upset about that. I don't mean to mislead someone, I just told the daycare teacher's situation here in our city for your information. Here, Montessori teachers all at least have graduated from college but many traditional daycare teachers only graduate from highschool and don't have any degrees so they earn less than Montessori teachers. Here, in some private daycares it's even 50% lower.

I'm very sorry if that's not true in your place but again, I said all that just from a friendly heart not mean to mislead you.
