  1. I highly agree with the above post ... get a used one.  You could get a nice used one for 2K-2500, ride it until you're ready for an upgrade and then buy a new bike.  You'll be able to sell it for close to what you paid .. they hold value pretty well.  Plus if you don't finance it, you can get liability-only insurance which will save you quite a bit of money, especially at 16.

  2. Wow, they're pretty inexpensive. You could probably find a used one for cash at that price. A new one? Go in there and low ball. No one pays close to list on new motorcycles. I would bet close to $80 a month. Just ask. Don't be shy. That's what the dealer is there fo. Just total up all the money, down payment and ALL the payments to see what the bike is really costing you. Negotiate tough but nice or take someone with you who can.

  3. Don't get a new ninja, you could probably save about a grand buying a never driven 2007 that the dealer still has. I would recommend buying something bigger, your going to outgrow that 250 real fast and going to lose a ton of money when you sell it and buy something else. If you want a sport bike maybe try a Suzuki GS500, more power but still small and light good to learn on, you can pick up one a year or so old for under 3k maybe even cheaper than a new ninja.

As for a license, I personally dont think it's a good idea for a 16  year old to get a bike. Your just learning the rules of the road and now you have to learn to shift and ride a bike too. Many new drivers get into small accidents, in a car it's no big dael, on a bike you coudl wind up dead. be careful.

  4. IT WILL GO BY WHAT YOU PUT DOWN BUT IF 0 DOWN IT WILL RUN RIGHT AT 160. ALSO ON UR  SCORE.. IF ITS MORE THE 160 DONT GET IT...
