The former Fiorentina midfielder is bemused by his performances in the Lega and stated that he was not able to believe his eyes when he saw Milan lose to Sampdoria.
Many have shown their concern with the manner things have been conducted at the Rossoneri during the past transfer window. There have been more than 12 departures from the club, and there are a couple of star players involved in the exit list as well. Even
though the fans understood of the need to lay off players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 and more recently
that of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302.
It was always going to be an uphill battle for Sampdoria to take a point away from the San Siro outfit, especially when the match was being played at their home ground. However, Il Samp were able to cause an upset, consequently making it a nightmare of a
start for all Rossoneri fans and players, including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049.
The former Viola midfielder went on to state that he was not expecting such an outcome at all, and felt that the club deserved more luck for all the hard work they put in the second half.
When commenting on the unhappiness at the Giuseppe Meazza over the results and events at the club in the past transfer window, Montolivo had this to state:
“I can understand the discontent of the fans and we’re disappointed and angry too, but we’re counting on making amends on Saturday.”
The Azzurri striker went on to state that the club will look beyond the result and will get back on track fairly soon. He further went on to state that there were no disillusions over the situation and they would look to tackle the solution head on.
He also remarked:
“There’s still a lot of work to do in all areas and we still have to find the right balance. There’s a lot of room for improvement.”
Milan would be hoping for a better result on the second match day, a poor result then would put immense pressure on the club.
