The blue and brindle dog, Montos King, has also tried his luck at the open level while many in the field have very modest profiles.
The J. Bloomfield trained joined the racing career just this season, and has proved quite a lot to the connections in the short span of time.
His career success was in a Grade A3 420 metres flat race on 6th June, 2012 at Peterborough. Leading and reeling in for the wire while dressed in the black and white of the sixth trap, the two-year-old took 25.89 seconds to complete the trip.
Missing the chance by 3 ¾ lengths was the favourite entry of the race, Jazz Apple Blue.
For nearly two and a half month, Montos Carhumore’s son’s career became a captive of defeats. Being trap specific does not apply to him, as he has lost a good lot of races when breaking out of the end trap.
The blue and brindle dog finally broke the monotony on 14th September, 2012 at Peterborough when he won a Grade A3 420 metres flat race. The stance in the race was so strong that even after getting bumped when racing in the first position, he made it to the wire in 25.83 seconds.
The most impressive attempt of the two-year-old out of, Cailin Liath, was in the Grade OR Sheffield Stadium 280 Maiden – Dup on 9th October, 2012. The sixth gate suited him once again as he drew clear of the rest of the lot, picked up the leading role, and kept a keen eye on the level of competition in the field.
It took the joint favourite 16.41 seconds to make the transit.
The race stood out to be the last time until yet that he added a success on the profile.
If he gets the chance to take back the prize money to the connections or not will unfold soon.
