  1. Dude don't go saying Montoya is better than the 42 other NASCAR drivers at NASCAR Racing, which is what THEY do. I'm sure Juan Pablo could beat them in an F1 race but he hasn't shown us anything great in NASCAR.

  2. alright first i would love to see shumacher race Johnson in a nextel cup car shumacher would eat jimmy's dust its. Shumacher is not only a legend in Europe but he has been racing a long time and johnson has never raced those kind of cars so of course he got smoked. second if montoya is so good why does he have more fights than wins sure kyle busch deserved it but leave johnson outta it

  3. He needs to go back to indy where he doesnt have to race next to other cars, are you blind This dude takes someone out every single race, He cannot race side by side and has pathetic car control

  4. Dude if you dont like nascar dont watch it put this c**p on the f1 site or something.  Open wheelers cant drive stock cars been proven time and time again.  Juan is mediocre might do better with a team that doesnt have the drama.

  5. Paul Menard rules and Montoya Drools enough said.

  6. Montoya is in 20th place.

There are 19  drivers better than Montoya in Nascar.

  7. Juanpablo is finding out nascar is more complicated than he thought and in need of more (different) driving skill, , f1 is totally different than nascar racing so you cannot accurately compare the two.

  8. F1 is completely different than Nascar. Different makes, engines, the way the car looks, etc. And the reason he did good at Sonoma was...ITS A ROAD TRACK! F1 and Indy drivers usually do good at road tracks. No why can't he win at an oval track, uh?

  9. Sorry guy.  Montoya is no NASCAR racer.  he can't control the car.  It's too difficult for him.   You need a lot more than what Montoya has to drive in NASCAR.  He just can't cut it.

  10. JPM is average at best in Nascar.  It doesn't matter what he does anywhere else.  I'm not gonna say that's bad, he's one spot ahead of my favorite driver.  And I'm sorry, I find road races so long and boring.

  11. JPM did great in a F1 car. Driving a stock car and driving open wheel are two totally different things. Maybe he'd of been better off to stay in F1?

Ohh and wow Shummi beat Jimmy Johnson in a 4 banger Ford. Big deal bring him to Nascar and see how well he does.

  12. I will give you that Juan Pablo Montos is a great driver and I think he is better than his equipment allows him to be.  He would probably be a top 10 to top 15 driver in the best cars avaiable.  There are many different formats for the International Race of Champions.  It is unfair to base a judegment on a driver's ability from a competition that's basically for fun, with nothing really on the line.  Jimmie had no time to practice in the cars they used for his race against Schumi plus they use different cars for each leg of the competition.  What was the format when Juan and Michael raced each other?

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  13. Hey, here's a thought: why don't you put your money where your mouth is, and bring back IROC, where all the cars are the same, and see how Montoya does against the likes of Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Dario Franchitti, Helio Castroneves, etc.  Something tells me he'd be a middle-of-the-pack guy, just like in NASCAR.

  14. F1 is so predictable I was watching it yesterday and their was maybe 5-6 passes the whole race and nascar is boring give me a break and it wouldn't matter if he was in a hendrick car which he never would be he would still suck

  15. I agree with you Sebastian3297. If you had Montoya in a decent team he'd make a lot of drivers look incompetent. They need a lot more road races, but the reason could be they don't because they don't want to get showed up by the likes of Montoya.

  16. woah easy there buddy, your wrong in many ways

Jimmie Johnson would definitely be able to compete in F1

I'm pretty sure you don't recall this but several years ago there was a special edition episode of tradin' paint where Montoya and Jeff Gordon swapped cars as I recall Jeff ran "competitive F1 times" where Montoya spun out nearly missing a tire barrier. so don't go and say they wouldn't be able to drive one lap, because Jeff and Jimmie have very similar driving styles and Jimmie would be able to drive F1 with ease.
