Montpellier HSC’s defender hits journalist

MHSC’s veteran, Cyril Jeunechamp, has been reported to verbally assault and hitting a journalist in the face over an article that displeased the defender.

a total of 7 appearances this season so far.
Montpellier who have been struggling with their form of late, with both attack and defence, have enough problems at hand to deal with currently. They have only managed three wins out of a possible 13.
The former Nice defender was not the only one involved in the act. There were several other MHSC’s player involved, who confronted L’Equipe journalist, Jose Barroso. But it was Jeunechamp, who lost his temper and aggravated to hit Barosso.
According to popular reports, the players seemed to have an issue over a piece of article written by the journalist, and that was the main reason that led to the confrontation.
It’s not just the players who seem to be having problems dealing with temper issues, but the manager as well. Recently the La Paillade’s manager, Rene Girard, was also accused of delivering an obscene hand gesture to FC Schalke’s manager, Huub Stevens, during
a UEFA Champions League game, who was disciplined later on.
Following the incident, the club released a press statement regarding Jeunechamp. It said:
"The club firmly condemn this behaviour and will consider repercussions."
Moreover it was also stated that:
"Following the incident involving Cyril Jeunechamp, Montpellier are keen to apologise to the reporter from L'Equipe."
Furthermore, the Union of Journalist of Sports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 (UJSF) is threatening to file a suite against the player. The union stated that the journalist was first verbally attacked and then assaulted by the players, who belonged from La Paillade. The union
also went on stating that their actions were totally intolerable and they did not have any right to confront, much less assault their comrade.
The club’s administration is seeking to take measures against the Frenchman for his aggravated actions, and considering to sanction the player. The Montpellier based club has emphasized on the fact that they would seek to punish the player internally instead
of filling a law suite.
