New leaders of the Championnat, Montpellier Herault are living a dream season which could may end with them being Ligue 1 champions.

Following a 1-0 win over AS Saint-Etienne last weekend, Montpellier Herault are now on top of the Ligue 1 standings. Though La Paillade are level on points with Paris Saint-Germain, a superior goal difference has put them on the Ligue 1 summit.
The adventure continues for Montpellier. The club’s fans are about to hear even more good news now.
Though the good performances of Montpellier have not gone unnoticed, it has been reported that all the players of the first-team have made a pact among themselves. If the league leaders manage to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, they will
continue to play for the club for at least one more season.
Though it remains to be seen whether the pact will be respected or not if a good offer comes for any player, it is a clear sign that Rene Girard’s side has a strong sense of unity which is the main reason why they have not choked so far.
Louis Nicollin and Rene Girard were certainly not expecting the team to do so well this season. After two successive defeats, many thought that Montpellier have finally started showing signs of a capitulation. However, the win against AS Saint-Etienne has
assured fans once again that their team will remain in the thick of things come the last day of the season.
In that win over Galtier’s men, Olivier Giroud scored at the death for his side which goes on to show that the team has great character which is a must in order to realise ambitions.
Though their good performances have alerted scouts from all over Europe, the players still want to reap the rewards of their performances next season.
Younes Belhanda is currently under the radar of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, PSG and Marseille while Olivier Giroud is attracting interest from a host of clubs. Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is also getting a lot of interest from big teams but the pact could make
the players stay at the Mosson for one last season for one last adventure which could be playing in the Champions League.
