Montreal Canadiens host the Boston Bruins in their fifth of six meetings of the season
The Montreal Canadiens will be hosting the Boston Bruins in another game of Tuesday with game due to take place at the Nationwide Arena.
This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides out of the six scheduled to take place during the courses of the season.
After the four games that have already taken place, the Canadiens lead the series 3-1.
The Canadiens won the first three games between the two teams 3-1, 4-3 and 3-2 respectively.
However, the Bruins were able to come back with a decent performance and won the game in a thrilling 8-6 score line in end.
The game is very important for both sides as with a regulation time win, the Bruins would be level on points with the Philadelphia Flyers in the Eastern Conference for the lead.
While a regulation time win for the Canadiens would give them the lead in the Northeast Division.
The Bruins have benefited a great deal from the recent few performances by David Krejci which have seen him scoring three goals and nine assists in the last 11 games that he has played.
Though the Bruins had some of their big names like Milan Lucic and Krejci in the teams as they faced the Pittsburgh Penguins in their most recent game, still they lost 3-2 after overtime.
The Bruins maintained a decent record before this one as they won the last seven consecutive games before the loss.
"Right now we're seeing David Krejci playing the way I think we expect him to play," Bruins coach Claude Julien said. "So if we're amazed by that, that's the way David Krejci should play and that's what we expect out of him. He's capable of making those
plays. He's capable of seeing the ice well. His two linemates are also playing pretty well, so that's made for a pretty successful line lately."
The Bruins have played 65 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 38 games in regulation time, eight games in overtime and scored 84 points.
The Canadiens have played 66 games out of which they have won 36 games in regulation, seven games in overtime and scored a total of 79 points.
The Canadiens are going through a decent run which has seen them winning five out of their last six games and currently on a four straight games winning streak.
The goal keeper, Carey Price, is also in superb form notching up some impressive performances.
"Our strength is obviously in our skill and our speed," Price said Monday. "We've got a few physical guys in here, but for the most part we're going to hurt guys on scoreboards and not so much physically. We just have to play our game and hopefully we can
hurt them that way."
