Montreal question?

I remember some time ago I found an apartment to rent in Montreal, and I had the opportunity to see the neighbourhood's pictures.

Well, there was really no neighboorhood; I guess it looked more like a cabin or whatever.

My question is are there places which can be inhabiited from the bustle of Montreal and still live maybe a twenty minute walk from the metro line?

Montreal has enough suburbs to live in, within walking distance of metros. There is anjou which the green line goes into.Laval - new addition to metro - off the island orange line,montreal north -orange line,st-michel neighbourhood -blue line,..wait just check this link. you can go through the entire city and it shows the metro line and neighbourhoods on the same map.
