Mood stabilizers and male fertility?

My husband has recently been diagnosed as bipolar, they are starting him on Epival. Does anyone know if this will lower our chances of conceiving? or if mood stablilizers have an effect on conception, I haven't been able to find anything relating to male fertility and mood stabilizers other than a decreased libido.

This is a question for his doctor, who should be able to get you the data on Epival and whether it affects sperm viability. I would guess not, but you never know!
