Moon Indigo to go well at Doncaster – Novices’ Chase Preview
John Wade’s black gelding, Moon Indigo, will go to Doncaster racecourse with plenty of confidence and unleash an impressive performance to finish first in Crownhotel-Bawtry.Com Novices’ Chase race which will begin at 2:55 (GMT) on Saturday, March 3.
The Class 4 race of 3m distance has £3,899 of prize money. There are only four entries in the event including Beneficial Reform, Five Star Wilsham, Moon Indigo and Mr Moss.
The reason behind Moon Indigo’s being the hot favourite is two consecutive victories that he bagged during April-December 2011.
The six-year-old talented gelding grabbed third spot in his last outing on December 29. Since the dawn of the calendar year, he has been on rest.
Moon Indigo started his career in October 2008, establishing himself as a potential runner by winning a couple of consecutive races during July 2009.
The brilliant horse has been performing and winning consistently since the very beginning. However, he has not run at Doncaster yet.
As a whole, Wade’s energetic pupil has won 5 out of his total 18 races to date. His triumphs include 2 Flat Turf and Hurdle each and 1 Chase. He has pursed £37,393 so far.
In his maiden outing at Doncaster today, Moon Indigo is expected to perform to his bet and add another success to his career list. His chances to thrive are as high as 90 percent.
Among other three runners, Beneficial Reform and Mr Moss seem to be enough strong.
Beneficial Reform has grabbed three victories since making his debut in January 2011. After winning a race in November, James Ewart’s gelding went on to finish second in a race in December.
In his last outing on February 15, the novice runner failed badly. However, his past performances suggest that he will stand tough today.
Mr Moss has won one out of his total 6 starts so far. He also started his career in January 2011. The trainee of Evan Williams is supposed to have a nice run in his first race at Doncaster.
Thus, the Novices’ Chase will be a rip-roaring competition as all the runners possess enough talent. Let us get ready for the action. Good luck to all the participants.
