"A Brown-led research team has for the first time found evidence of water deep within the Moon."-- http://news.brown.edu/pressreleases/2008/07/moon08

Perhaps some of the indigenous water is still trapped inside the moon?

  1. Water never did or ever will exist on the moon.

  2. It can not exist as water or ice subject to the near zero atmosphere. It will boil off at below freezing.

  3. If its deep within the moon.....possibly. Evidence of  water on the moon has been detected in polar area craters that receive little to no sunlight. It is believed  the source of the water is from comet impacts

  4. I would say that was inevitable, if the moon *did* originate from an Earth-impacting body, then *some* of the moon has to have inherited water that was blasted out from the Earth during that impact.
