Moonveen Zapper to dominate the Grade A3 Online Booking @ The Cross 525 at Harold’s Cross

The Grade A3 Online Booking @ The Cross 525 will be raced at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards flat on Monday, 30th April. Taking part in the €225 event are Temlette, Dorcha Jack, Hondo Smack, Killeany Jo, Moonveen Zapper and Pal Val.
Moonveen Zapper, Mustang Zapper’s three-year-old black and white son out of b***h, Moonveen Ita, is a highly lightly raced hound among all the contestants.
Through the last three years he has raced just once in all the seasons from 2010 to 2012.
He scored second in his career debut on 11th December 2010. He completed the 574 yards trip after the winner Brave Meave. The winner reached the other end of the wire in 29.53 seconds.
His debut victory of the career surfaced during the 2011 season that too in the only race that he took part in throughout the year. On 20th February 2011, Moonveen Zapper won a 525 yards’ race.
After racing twice during the career, the three-year-old was drilled over 324 yards on 24th February, a distance of which he took command in 18.56 seconds.
It was after nearly a year that Moonveen Zapper raced and the trainer, G. McKenna, planned for the training session before Moonveen Zapper stepped in to the new season.
On 6th April, he became part of the line-up for the Grade A3 Welcome To Harolds Cross Greyhound Stadium 525 at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards. He failed to the miserable sixth position which was the least bit expected specially after the recent
training.
The race was won by Exotic Valo who reached the other end of the wire in 29.47 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Sheberightmate, by two and a half lengths. She clocked the track distance in 29.67 seconds.
Settling third in line after the winner was the 6/4 favourite of the race, Peggys Turn who was done racing in 29.83 seconds.
Today he will race through the second outing of the new season and having been blown off so severely in the seasonal debut despite the training will prompt him to improvise the performance tonight.
The line-up of the race is not very competitive so Moonveen Zapper should make the most out of the chance.
