Moorfoot Maggie favourite for Bettor.com Betting Exchange Stayers Trophy
Moorfoot Maggie has won decent odds for the Bettor.com Betting Exchange Stayers Trophy at Shawfield in England on Friday, April 13, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded a cash prize of £500.
All the participants will have to cover an overall distance of 670 metres in the Grade OR event, which is scheduled to start at 20:10 GMT. The entries confirmed for the event are as follows: Moorfoot Maggie, Witton Ace, Whiteys Mugin, Leemount Bojan,
Friendly Joe and Reluctant Ebony
The bookies have full faith in the abilities of Moorfoot Maggie, who has been delivering some decent results over the past many weeks. She seems to be in a nice rhythm right now and the punters are likely to place maximum number of bets in her favour
today.
The Beattie’s trained runner is a regular at Shawfield, thus she will be fully aware of the conditions at the venue. She had been in terrific form some time ago, but has lost the winning touch over the past couple of events.
The black b***h finished fourth in her most recent race. She had a starting price of 10 to 1 back then, but managed to impress the bookies this time around, getting a better rate.
Moorfoot Maggie is the daughter of Moorfoot Uncle out of Moorfoot Katie and was born in June 2010. She is the youngest of all participants in the race, thus should have better stamina compared to others.
On the other hand, Witton Ace has the potential to spoil the party for today’s favourite b***h. He has been running regularly at Shawfield and will cause a few problems for his rivals.
G. Stark’s trained hound finished fifth in his most recent race, which means that he is not in good rhythm at the moment. He will need a much better effort to fight for victory at Shawfield today.
The white and black dog is the son of Head Bound out of Tiger Kitten and was born in August 2009.
Other than the top two favourites, Whiteys Mugin will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he is quite capable of winning races. However, Moorfoot Maggie appears to be unstoppable right now and the rest of the runners will struggle to match
her.
