Moped, just changed rollers, and putting variator back on,need help, how does belt come off?

I have an Italjet Formula Air 50, and need help, how does the drive belt come off, as we had to changed the rollers, because they had flat spots, now ned help putting back together, as the belt, doesn't come forward enough. Thanks Oakie

  1. First off Oakie, make sure when you put that front clutch basket back on (the dish holding the rollers) you hold the loose sliding plate at the back to stop the rollers from turning sideways. One turned roller will make it very difficult to go any further and cause havoc if you actually get all back on- i.e wont pull away, rear wheel keeps turning at idle speed etc.(I think you are suffering from this already?)

    Now squeeze the REAR clutch so the belt drops down into it slightly. This should give you just enough slack up front to get the outer plate onto the crankshaft.

    P.S you MUST use some sort of locking fluid like Thread-Lock on that front nut. If it comes off when you are riding it will ruin the crank!
