Moped/Scooter which to buy.?

Question

Hi I am looking to buy an inexpensive light weight 100-125 cc scooter / moped to take me & my kid around . I have no experience what so ever with scooters / mopeds. Any & all suggestions that need to be considered while purchasing / riding are welcome. Thanks.

I've got a Kymco Agility 125 and really like it.

It was the cheapest 125 that i could find that i would consider reliable.  I paid right at 2K.

Vespas are nice.

I would differently recommend taking the MSF Basic Rider Course. Some sites do motorcycle and scooter training.

most scooters that size have automatic.... get a used one... check on craigslist.com...

Look at Kymco or Hyosung and Genuine they all have more than one scooter in that range and are good manufactures to buy from,
