Moped for Commuting?

I currently have a Chevy HHR, which by no means is bad on gas, but at the same time I was thinking of perhaps getting a small electric or gas moped for my 1-mile commute to work.... might it be worth it and fun at the same time?

For one mile, why not get a bicycle?  It's hardly worth burning ANY gasoline for, and a bike would help keep you healthy!

Bicycle or walk/run it, 1 mile is nothing.
