my moped acts like it needs to warm up forever. once i start to ride it, it takes off nicely, gets to about 30 mph with full throttle(max speed about 40-45 mph) and it just winds down slowly until i'm almost stopped( even with full throttle). Then it dies. Also when it dies, and only after it dies, it sounds funny. Normal starting sound= wuh wuh wuh wuh. After it dies and then restart= wuhhhhhhhwuhhhhhhh, more of a flatline. My muffler is not clogged, air filter isn't bad, i bought a new fuel filter, checked spark plug, carb jets are clean, it idles fine- it only wants to die when it loses power as explained earlier. I just don't know why it has been not as fast, losing power- dropping down to 20-25mph, or just plain not making it past 20-25mph at times. But eventually it will go faster but just not as fast as it used to. Its a 2005, but its was bought new in February this year. It just loses power almost like hitting the kill switch. Sometimes it doesn't quite lose all its power and ill do about 15-20 mph for a 1/2 mile. Then back up to 35 mph. Just the other day i got it up to 50 mph (slightly downhill for a little bit) , then when it levels out- it goes its normal average speed of approx. 40 mph, then just kinda drops to about 32mph and thats that. I dont think it has anything to do with battery. It has moments of wanting to accelerate but just doesn't pull through all the way. What am i missing? I dont know the air/fuel mixture stuff, and no one has changed that. It usually only dies a couple of times at the most when first taken out for the day and then at times i can tell it wants to again but doesn't- normally after that it just runs slower as explained. Anything? THANKS
