  1. You know there are only two types of motor riders, those that have been in accidents, and those that are going to be. I ride my bicycle to work and back often, and run other times. Even then I get into a "close one" on the average of once a day. I'd say no, unless the route was somewhere where other cars won't be likely to swerve, pull in front of, or pull into her.

  2. OVERPROTECTIVE!

Would you not let her ride a bicycle on the street?

There is no sense worrying about what could happen until it does happen. I have been riding motorcycles for 28 years and have had only 1 accident.

Think of the money she will save on gas and insurance.

Let her get a scooter BUT make her take a safety course first.

  3. They are safe but you will need to be looking out for the other people on the road and that is not safe.

If it was my son or daughter I would say "NO" to bad so sad.

She is just way too young and she does not enough experience.

  4. You are being a tad over protective but  you should make sure she takes a MSF course and wears a helmet. Be careful when you buy her one most of the real cheap ones are junk and will not last a week. Some can not even be made street legal. Here are the top names in the manufacture of   scooters. Piaggio and Vespa also Kymco. These are rated highest of the scooters. Then the Japanese brands who cost more because of the name.
