  1. You're already feeling guilty, that's why you want our opinions.

Just give it back....honesty is always the best policy.

  2. Give it back. Your honor is not worth money. Sleep well if you don't.

  3. Yes i would keep it too.

  4. She wont do that again,

consider it a lesson taught !.

    Keep it.

  5. Buy yourself a pint and forget about it.  If your positions were reversed, do you honestly think she'd bring the money back.  I don't think so!!

  6. Banks never admit to making errors at the counter. I was paid too much once and tried to give it back at the counter and the bank said no!!!!

  7. As you are aware of it so soon after receiving the money, I think you should take it back,  because she probably has to pay it back out of her salary.

If it happened to me and I found out whilst away, then no I wouldn't take it back.

  8. banks rob us right left and centre. if the situation was reversed you would have a h**l of a job to get it back so keep the money.

  9. pedro, treat others like you would like to be treated :)

    What goes around, comes around!

  10. Banks make allowances for this type of human error which happens regularly. They're dealing with millions every day - 100 € is nothing to them. Do you think they contact their customers that quickly if they're at the winning end of their errors.

Shut up and keep it! ...and DON'T lose sleep over it.

PS: ...and no, she WON'T have to pay this out of her own money.

  11. I was given £100 extra in a currency transaction once years ago by a young teller. As soon as I realised I went back and pointed out her mistake. She was very grateful as it was her first day.

At the end of the day she would have been down £100 with no excuse for the discrepency.I could not have, in all conscience let her take that hit.My self respect is worth more than that paltry sum.

  12. No,  I wouldn't.  She will have to pay it out of her own money.  It is most probably 3 times more than she makes a day!   And you most probably will spent it on something you don't really need (free money is always 'wasted').

(The bank will not suffer from this,  the employee will).

  13. The fact that you feel guilty means that you know it is wrong to keep it! Do the right thing and give it back.

I'm appalled that so many answerer's would keep it! I wonder if these are the same people who want "criminals"given longer sentences and a tougher stance taken on law and order.

  14. The banks rob us blind every day, enjoy it,changing cash is

one of all banks biggest earners.

  15. No, I wouldn't keep it, I feel it would be wrong.

  16. GIve it back, you would not only make a persons day with your honesty but also feel good which will reflect in your day to day activities..as some others pointed out you might even save her job

    Go for it

  17. Walk away and say nothing

  18. Nope, I would feel terrible if she lost her job because of it.

  19. Sounds like a lucky day.  She won't loose he job unless this is regular occurance, and in that case maybe she deserves to lose it.

  20. No, I wouldn't have kept it. Imagine that girl is your girlfriend/sister/daughter, how would you feel if she lost her job over it?

  21. Nope, I'd give it right back.
