Morality Question about Marriage?

I've been married to my wife for 12 years and we have 2 beautiful children and 1 smart one. I travel overseas a lot. I've heard that marriage is only binding in the US (if you are married in the U.S.)

But, one of my buddies told me that the marriage only counts in the U.S. is a myth. That really upsets me because I feel like I'm a great husband. So, is it adultery if you're having s*x overseas?

I don't know about legally, but it's certainly cheating on your vows.  You made those promises to her, not the flag, so it doesn't matter where you are.

Doesn't make a difference where it happened, it is still cheating.  Your intent would be to have s*x with someone other than your spouse.

I feel horrible for you wife and children, biding marriage is to be faithful to your wife regardless of where you are.

Btw with a name like ladies man...I doubt you r married at all.....

durrrrr. your cheating no matter where you are when yoyu hook up with someone else. why can't you just be content with your wife, and when ever you are feeling lonely just call your wife, not hook up with someone else

You're just looking for a reason to cheat.

If your wife was overseas, would you be upset if she had s*x with another man?

Your vows of marriage weren't legally binding, they were vows you made to her, therefore they're not removed by a glorified "100 mile rule" if you go overseas.  I'm more concerned over the fact that you can't simply recognize that you have 3 wonderful children...2 are beautiful and 1 is smart? What parent feels the need to compartmentalize their children like that?

I think it depends on what state you are from.  This is true for many of the west coast states (so i've heard)

I am amazed at how people will attack others verbally.  You have asked a question and you do not need others being rude and mean to you.  Some will say of course you are cheating, others will say  no you are not.  As I was told, how would you feel if your spouse told you that a affair was taking place?

How would you feel, react?  That might very well be the answer you are looking for.  I have done the same thing and I know it to be wrong.  But I did it anyway, my wants overruled the knowledge that what I was doing is bad.  I am now in the process of a separation.  Think about what you have, will loose, will gain, then make your decision.
