Moratti looking to sign former Milan manger Leonardo to replace Rafa

Media reports are certainly giving Rafael Benitez a hard time. With his performances going from bad to worse in both the Italian League and the Champions League, it seems like his life-line is finally about to give away.
The Spaniard was sacked from his job at Anfield in the summer, when he lost the confidence of his Liverpool players after five years in charge. The progress of the Merseyside club was constantly in a downward spiral, despite the manager having won a Champions
League title with the club.
Last season Rafa was able to scrape a seventh place finish at the end of the Premier League season. It seems however that his bad form has followed him to Italy, and his time with the reigning European Champions could soon be over.
Now former AC Milan Manager Leonardo is being considered as a possible successor to Rafa, and this piece of news has unsettled a lot of people at the San Siro.
Inter Milan Preseident Massimo Moratti has reportedly been in contact with the former Rossoneri boss. This has heaped more pressure on the already weary shoulders of Rafa. In the last match of the Champions League, Inter Milan lost to Werder Bremen 3-0,
but that defeat did not affect their result as they had already progressed to the Last 16 Stage of the competition.
At the start of the weekend Moratti stated that a loss against Bundesliga club Werder Bremen would not be tolerated. This basically meant that he had given Benitez a deadline to improve the club’s performance. Now imagine what he will be thinking after the
German's inflicted a humiliating defeat on the Italians.
Following the defeat, some media reports suggested that Moratti has asked Leonardo if he would like to join the Nerrazurri. One thing is for sure, after a legendary season with the ‘Chosen One’,anyone who comes in will find it tough to replicate that form.
Nonetheless Moratti has also stated that the result against the German club will be not held as a final draw against Rafa, therefore he still has another chance to prove himself.
