Zenit St. Petersburg broke all previous transfer records in the history of the Russian Premier League by signing the likes of Hulk and Axel Witsel from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 and SL Benfica respectively.
The defending champions reportedly paid a staggering 100 million Euros to the Primeira Liga clubs after signing a four-year contract with Hulk, who scored 54 goals during his stay at Estádio do Dragão, and Witsel, who is regarded
as one of the hottest properties in Europe.
Famous football expert Evgeny Lovchev has spoken about the landmark signings Zenit have made during the summer transfer window, insisting that the Meshki have bolstered the attacking ranks after signing the aforementioned players.
Lovchev is of the view that the latest acquisitions will significantly increase the level of Russian football, and will help the Russian football Union to get more viewership across the world.
