  1. 37) Each of the terms has a common factor of 6x^2.

    44) The first person can sit at any of the 6 seats, the second can sit at any of the remaining 5, and so on.  To find the total combinations, you multiply all the possible choices of each person:

    6*5*4*3 = 360

    49) √40 = √(4*10) = √4 * √10 = 2√10
