More NBA rumours

The trade deadline is tomorrow and still the number of trades being made are not as high as one would expect, but the number of rumours are as plentiful as ever.

Amar’e Stoudemire is still being linked with three teams around the league and it looks like it’s going to be down to two teams – Miami and Cleveland.

Miami are probably the front runners as they have more to offer Phoenix in terms of talent. JJ Hickson is the player Cleveland have offered along with Zydrunas Ilgauskas’ expiring contract, but Hickson isn’t in the same talent level of Stoudemire, although he is fast-improving.

We will know by tomorrow evening if Stoudemire stays a Sun or moves on to somewhere else, but I wouldn’t be surprised if something is announced by the end of today.

Tracy McGrady looks like he will definitely be on the move sometime before Thursday. According to a report from ESPN's Marc Stein the Rockets, are mulling offers from the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls. The Rockets are determined to finalise a deal for McGrady and are leaning toward taking the Knicks' offer according to the report.

According to one source, New York agreed to swap first-round picks with Houston in 2011 and include a 2012 first-round pick in the deal to convince the Rockets to take back Jared Jeffries' $6.9million contract for next season along with rookie forward Jordan Hill and out-of-favour guard Larry Hughes.

The Bulls are offering Brad Miller, Jerome James and Tyrus Thomas to get McGrady’s expiring $22million contract. If they manage to do so the Bulls will have enough salary cap space to sign two max contract free agents in the off-season, with LeBron James and Chris Bosh heading the list.
