I have another number theory question, and maybe more as I'm taking an exam in the near future in VERY fundamental number theory. The exam will only involve questions like these. Please give me details so I can learn how to do this. Thanks!
1) How many positive integers between 0 and 1000 are not divisible by 3 or by 5?
2) If x, y, and z are nonnegative integers, what is the total
number of factors of 2^x 3^y 5^z? NOTE: There are no minus/plus signs between 2^x 3^y 5^z. So it's 2^x (space) 3^y (space) 5^z. I included this note just to clarify the problem.
Thanks!
