  1. anoles are like $8, i pay no attention to L gecko's in anyway shape or form so I couldn't even advise on that oddly. Corn snakes are around $50 to $70 and balls go for around $60-$80. now prices can vary depending on morphs, etc. The easiest reptile to take care of is a snake. You feed it once a week, clean up p**p once a week and there is really not much work. w/ anoles you have to go out and keep buying crickets, you have to clean up p**p more often, etc. btw, anoles are real cheap and they're like the gold fish of the reptile world. go w/ a snake

  2. I'm going to be very, very honest with you and perhaps a little blunt:

You don't seem ready to own a pet.

I've been reading your questions and although its fine to want different opinions on a number of species, the fact that you're asking for the least of expenses doesn't really sit right.

Reptiles get expensive fast. Although you can get an anole for 5$ and a 10g tank for 10$, it doesn't mean that you won't need a larger tank later on, lights, heating, substrates, cage furniture, thermometers and a steady supply of crickets/insects. Since the crickets/insects need to remain alive until they're fed off, you'll need housing, food and water for them too.

Are you really ready to start shucking off money to mantain a reptile? No, really. I've seen kids that buy anoles and geckos because they're attractive and cheap and end up catching moths that can possibly be coated in pesticide because they can't pay/find the crickets and worms. Remember that 5$ this week for crickets turns into 5x4 at the end of the month, and a broken/spent bulb turns into 30$ more.

Don't consider a reptile because its cheap.

  3. Leopard Geckos will cost about $50 or less unless you get a special morph. Babies are cheaper than adults.

An Anole will cost less than $10 for a green or brown anole, about $20 for a Cuban Knight Anole, and about $40 for a Jamaican Anole.

A Corn Snake will cost usually about $50, unless you get a morph, then they'll usually cost about $100 or less. Babies are cheaper than adults.

A Ball Python will cost about $40-60 for a normal baby, morphs become expensive fast. If you get one you have to be sure you get a captive bred instead of a wild caught.

The Leopard Geckos and Anoles would need special lights that cost about $30 a bulb, the Corn Snake and Ball Python still need light but not this special kind.

But before you decide to get a pet reptile remember, the actual animal is the cheap part and it's the setup that will cost you. You can't cut corners. You'll at least need an appropriately sized tank, a heat lamp, a thermometer, a hygrometer, substrate, hide boxes, water bowls, and whatever you put in for climbing and aesthetic value.
