More about Dandenong, Melbourne?

Could anyone please tell me more about Dandenong, Melbourne? Is it a safe place, many jobs, schools, and rental properties?

Dandenong is an industrial town but back in the hills The dandenong ranges are beautiful. Dandenong has a quite large mixture of nationalities and they always had a great market. I haven't been there for a while so take a good look around and visit the schools  I'm sure it's ok and I think there would be good and bad areas around there. the police will tell you what areas to avoid. http://www.realestate.com.au/directory/r...

dandenong i think is about 30mins by car east out of the city

it's in zone 2 in terms of public transport

bad thing is it is i'm pretty sure there are only buses in the area

yeh it's safe, melbourne is generally very safe; second safest city in the world

there are plenty of schools

i'm sure that there are atleast 2 primary schools in the suburbs and there are heaps of high schools nearby

for a job i'd presume you would go into the city and it's fairly convinient to do so, there are many buses that take you directly into the CBD

however if ur a local there itz pretty good

doesnt cost a lot to live there

Dandenong is not actually in Melbourne. It is on the outskirts but falls into a different catagory.

hi ilive there its not really a bad place,and now with the new eastlink you can get around quite quickly,we have some promblems with teens,and hoons but like any other suberb,it is a nice place quite for the most part

well it is a good size city good market on a Friday & saturday if you do not mind crowds serve by a freeway close by and non stop trains into the city of melbourne lot of mixed nations around the area ,

i would be careful where you walk in the dandenong area at night but it is a working class area lots of industries in the area & your only 20 minutes to the beach ( bay ) or i would say 2 hrs to ocean beaches maybe be shorter than that
