More about my wisdom teeth

Question

So I had my wisdom teeth out friday, little pain and quite a bit of swelling.

This afternoon I felt something gooey stuck behind my back molar and thought it was just my soup from dinner (5 before before, had yet to rinse and brush). It took some effort, and when I spit it out it was a blood clot.

There is no hole, no new pain, but I am a little worried about it.

Has this happened to anyone? It is sunday night so calling a dentist isn't an option

You should be okay, as the pit will heal from the bottom. As long as there is no new pain I wouldn't be concerned. If it does start to hurt more than it has, I would be concerned about a "dry-socket" and it would need to be cleaned and packed by your oral surgeon or dentist when you can get in.  Don't worry...if it's a dry socket, the pain would be more intense than normal.
