PETA isn't extremist like staunch left or right people viewed from the other side. I'm far left and I wouldn't say right fundamentalists are extreme like PETA.

Every time I see one of their press releases in a news article it makes me wince. They just don't understand what they're trying to do, period, ever. They automatically take the side that scapegoats the people and "supports" the animals, whether or not they actually think about it. I'd like to see PETA replaced with an interest group a lot less forceful and a lot more sensible.

hahaha thats true peta is loosing alot of credibility on this eight belles situation, i heard a lady on espn radio from peta and she was ignorant of the situation, calling for the jockys suspension but having no idea what or even if the jocky could have done or felt anything. so its crazy i think that everyone is for people treating animals ethicaly like peta stands for but they are very extream on this i cant even belive the stuff i was hearing the lady on espn say it was extreamly bad for the peta organization

PETA is just a front for another leftist liberal extremist group that picks and chooses their "animal causes" based upon what newsflashes run by them on any given day.  If the horse at the Kentucky Derby did not get euthanized on the track, PETA would have shut their mouths and butt into the next animal related newsworthy item.

Anyway, my experience with observing PETA "members for hire" during demonstrations and protests in San Francisco is basically when they used to throw either animal blood or red paint at women in SF's Union Square shopping district that wear leather or fur.  By spilling animal blood that they purchase from butchers or Asian markets, or staining the fur of animal hides, are they not desecrating the spirit of that animal?

They're backwards in thinking and basically the same people that are disturbing the Olympic Flame as it makes it's way around the world.  Just a bunch of liberal scum.
