  1. 1.yes you have to pay for a trainer but don't pay any more that about $50 bucks a month. right now I pay $150 for 3 months at one gym and will be starting at another for $60 a month as well.

    2.yes you will need gloves

3.if you train hard enough your skill will out do size. bigger person doesn't mean better fighter. for example there is said to be lacking of talent in the heavyweight division right now. so you can see more body mass doesn't = more skill

  2. You should definetely get a boxing trainer or at least an instructional DVD.  A good punching bag is the Slam Man.

It's a human shaped electronic punching bag with targets that light up which tell you where to punch.  It's better than an ordinary punching bag as it can provide combinations for you and it's much better for motivation because it's more fun.  It basically acts as your very own boxing trainer.  I've got one of my own and it comes with gloves and an instructional DVD in the basics.  A human shaped target provides a more realistic training regime as well.

And yes, you will be able to beat up people bigger than you if you train hard and long enough.
