  1. You need an owners manual or a boat shop to show you how to adjust it properly.

  2. try adjusting the fuel to air ratio

  3. don't know your engine in particular, but described below is a generic carbed motor slow speed adjustment procedure.

but before you do that ---- have you taken this carb apart and soaked it overnight in carb cleaner?  if not, you're just wasting your time.

    Slow speed mixture s***w adjustment:

s***w it in until it seats, then back it out 1 and 1/4 turns.  start the engine and use the throttle to set the RPM's where it will just stay running.

1/8 turn at a time, start turning the s***w in.  give the engine a couple seconds to respond.  RPM's will increase;  each time, adjust the throttle to where it will just stay running.

Eventually you'll reach a point where it gets worse, not better when you s***w it in, it might even spit back a little.  Somewhere in the last 1/4 turn, you'll find the smoothest running.  Shouldn't have to change it again after that, until your next carb rebuild.

  4. Like I said in my last answer, 5/8 ths turn out on the low needle, 3/4 ths out on the high speed. Check the adjustment of the "float arm" inside the carb.

First thing to do is check your compression, with a gauge.
