  1. 1. i would do it about once every 2 months, because the more you wash them the more oils are released on their skin, and the more they will stink.

    2. at our pet store the ferrets were about $100 each. However cages can run up to $150-$200

    3. cage, food, water bottle, toys, litter boxes, bedding, something to sleep in(bed)

    4. yes! mine used to do that!

    5. make sure they can't get under soemthing with wires they can chew, and make sure there are no holes they can crawl through, because they might not come back out, and make sure you don't have any valuable lying around, because they love to steal things. basically, make it safe for a ferret. also, it would easier to have just one room they can run around in, rather than having to ferret-proof the entire house!

    i hope i helped!

  2. Well it depends, your ferret does need to be washed. But certainly not daily , or weekly!

The only times you really need to wash your ferret is when he's been outside and dug in the dirt and gotten extremely messy, and if he hadn't been outside for at least 30 minutes don't bother. Or if he's been free roaming for quite a while and snucken into dusty places where mold fungus may have grown, than perhaps a nice washing could take place. But I personally think that scruffing your ferret is wrong, and unfortunately ferrets do not last long in the water, so you'll have to be think about it, but be absoloutely positive that the water is not even a little bit too deep. Ferrets can drown very easily. So be careful not to dunk his head under just to give his head a wash. And do not do not use febreze. It will give your ferret a terrible itching problem and he will be irritated by his smell all day. Ferrets need to smell the way they do, so i'm sorry if you don't like it but, if you really want a happy ferret, just let him smell his natural smell. But..., however, when you are bathing your ferret maybe once every two months, be sure to use a good ferret shampoo, I use cucumber melon, but when you use it make sure to get it all out of your ferrets fur.But check with your vet to make sure the shampoo is safe.

The shampoo will help a bit, how ever your ferret will still smell. Sorry, there is nothing else you can do.

Um I would say it would be a good 430 dollars for 2 ferrets. But you also need to bu y the cage which could be an extra 80 dollars, food, sleeping place, and water bottle, and food bowl, and little box. It will be expensive. ( but don't spend money on toys, make your own like a bell in a sock, toilet paper rolls, dixie cups, and t-shirts. Ferrets will amuse themselves.). So do what I did, start a getting ferrets fund, save up then buy your ferrets.

I think I answered your next question in my previous answer, except you'll need shampoo and deodorizing spray.

Well you see ferrets never get tired of playing, so the only time you'll really get yoiur dude to cuddle, is when you lightly lift him out of his cage, while he's napping, he'll open his eyes a little and cuddle up with you like your his really mama.

Well block off all staircases, ferrets can not see height. And block off anything that could break or hurt the ferret, glass, stone, metal. Ferrets could just run into these things, and it wouldn't be there fault, they can only see 3 ft. away. And just please put away any fruit that he could get at, fruit for ferrets means terrinle belly ache, and do not let your ferret roam free around the house 24/7 he must have a cage. But make sure to put litter boxes in all the corners of your house where he might get to. Ferrets only p**p in corners.

    HAVE FUN WITH YOUR DUDE!

PLEASE SHOOT ME AN EMAIL IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS.

  3. 1) Maybe once. I use "no wash" spray for odors & it works great. Too much washing dries out their skin

    2) At the average of $150 each, around $450

    3) Cage, bedding, food, water bottle, food dish, hammock or some cozy place for sleeping, potty with litter, toys, chew treats, odor spray (& anything else you can spoil them with! My guys have tons of junk, lol)

    4) If you wear them out good or their older, for the most part they're too busy playing or chasing your feet

    5) By trying your best & then learning from your mistakes. They are EXTREMELY  nosey & clever, and will find things to get into that you'd never even think about. Is just an experience type thing & depends on your house set-up. Anything expensive, shiny, things that move or make noise, holes, clothing, shoes, & any crevice are high priority on their list. :P

Hope that helps & feel free to email if you have anymore questions or thing I missed. ^_^

  4. 1. It is a common misconception that the more you bathe your ferrets, the less they will stink. In all actuality your only supposed to bathe ferrets 3 times a year, at the most. Basically, bathe ferrets only if they are dirty

    2. Ferrets usually run between 100-140 dollars, it depends on if you get them when their on sale (like i did) or when their regular price. I got three ferrets at petco not too long ago, and it costed $300. + about $200 for a cage, and dont forget about the rest of the supplies.

    3. you need: a large cage, ferret food (i would recomend marshall ferret pellets), a heavy food dish, a water bottle, a litter box, litter (i would recomend yesterdays news ferret litter, it comes in a green bag), a ferret hammock for their cage (most ferrets like sleeping in them), and some ferret toys (cat balls, and anything with bells work great)

    4. My ferrets love to cuddle with me regardless if their tired or not, but yes most ferrets like to cuddle up to you, and most will even fall asleep in your arms if their tired enough. (Theres nothing cuter than a sleepy ferret:]

    5. you can ferret proof your house by picking up all small objects (pennies, rubber bands, anything) that would be in the ferrets reach. You also have to keep them away from electrical cords, they have a tendency to chew on them. Basically just blocking off any place that your would not like the ferrets to go.

If you have any questions about anything, feel free to contact me. I have 3 ferrets, and would be happy to help. My screename is SoccerChick22694@aol.com.

    Good luck! :]

  5. 1. None. Only wash your ferret if it is dirty. The more often you wash it, the more it wills tink. You will dry out their skin and make their oil glands go in overdrive, producing too much oil, and making them stink. A lot.

    2. They're usally around 100$ each. I prefer adopting though. www.petfinder.com

    3. A good, safe multi-level cage. A water bottle. A food bowl that locks onto the cage. Litter boxes. Hammocks and other hanging beds. Blankets. Ferret toys. Tubes. FerreTone by 8in1. FerretVite by 8in1. Ferret lax. Treats. Money. Time. Patience. Love.

    4. Only certain ferrets like to cuddle. it depends on their personalities. My male LOVES to cuddle, while my female HATES physical contact. Some really hate cuddles.

    5. Keep everything that isn't a ferret toy off the ground. Make sure to keep computer chairs away from computers. They are climbers, and jumpers. If there are any cables around, block them off, or wrap them in specially-made cable covers made to be string against pet bites. Block off total acess of the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room. Those 3 rooms are the deadliest to ferrets, even if ferret-proof.
