More help on a 1990 Honda Accord?

where is the ignition ignitor and the ignition switch will any of these cause the car to crank but not start and i have no spark at the plugs thanks

  1. the most common problem that causes that no start on the 1990 Accord is the main relay.  its located up under the left side of the instrument panel bolted to the inner fender well.  the relay runs about $65.  The relay is close to a 100% failure rate on those year accords.

    the other thing that would not cause spark that is a fairly common item is the ignition coil.

    the igniter is inside the distributor and requires the distributor sub assembly be replaced in most cases.  they very rarely go bad

    the ignition switch won't be a problem on your car either.  if its cranking your ignition switch is good

  2. Not sure where they are located but it could be the problem or many other things. starter for one or starter syleniod, fuel filter, spark plug wires, cap or rotor. it's really a matter of guessing games if you want to do it your self. you have to narrow it down
