More info on Erte Cupid Statue...?

Question

I'm looking for some information on a Erte statute - all I've been able to find is reference to ladies, but no cupids. It is currently listed in an auction and I know they can be worth quite a bit of money depending on what they are. I'm wondering whether she is worth the asking price. Here is a link to the auction:

Hi!  It's not like any Erte that I've ever seen.  

If anything, it looks like a copy after the

style of Clodion.  I find it most questionable.

I hope Angela signs on soon, I'd like to hear

her opinion.

I agree (as always) with Guess Who's at Large. I too have grave doubts about the genuinenessss of this piece. I did find one cupid in the Erte range but she was in the form of a plump baby. In short, I wouldn't advise you to bid for this piece, it is just too risky. (Guess W -please take a look at Help wanted identifying an Egyptian tile)
