"From ignorance, lead me to truth; from darkness, lead me to light; from death, lead me into immortality." Ohm…

A universe of opposites and ultimate ironies. A world with thousands of theologies. But still only one truth. Ohm (instrument of thought). Light and dark. Black and white. Hot and cold. Love and hate. Male and female. There! We see both ends of the spectrum and tie them together. A world full of circles and vertiginous fools transfixed within their centers. Sphere upon sphere upon sphere within sphere within sphere, etcetera and etcetera. I approach a lily in the valley and place before her a rose. Blossoms burst forth from infinity and I attempt to focus my gaze at their centers. There is no center, the center is everywhere. I called out of the darkness to Veritas, but she is down in a well dressed in white and I see only her brilliant eyes.

The desk starts to melt and the baphomet is screaming in my ear an invocation, “SOLVE ET COAGULA!” (Insert carnival music here). I am surrounded by symbols and signs tattooed over the flesh of reality. They are coming to life in ways I never imagined and the plans of evil men are coming to light. A fuzzy mass of mediocrity floats above the world and art is not art without Oprah’s stamp of approval.

They say we use ten percent of our minds. That’s a lie, the rest is simply occupied projecting the universe and its laws and God is sitting in my mind’s eye. And now, within my sphere, within my self; a creative force. Head on fire, heart complete. Light above me, dark deplete. Through this world I patiently roam seeking a house to call a home seated on a throne of gold peering down towards the lead I close my eyes and utter ohm…

  1. You're right, this is more like a freewrite than a poem. A very rambling freewrite. All considered, it was still hard for me to understand parts of this, such as 'SOLVE ET COAGULA'. Is that Latin?

Overall, I thought this was a very good piece of work, but I wished I could understand it more.
