  1. You'll get your Base Pay which is about 16K right?

Then you'll get BAS about $270 a month.

    Hostile Fire $225 a month

Save (hardship) pay $100 a month

    Family Separation $250 a month (I think)

No COLA pay.  (Cost Of Living Allowance)

No federal or state income taxes will be deducted from any monthly paycheck where you spent at least a day in Iraq.  Social Security and Medicare still will.

  2. okie check it, you'll get your base pay tax free, and HDF pay ($225 ish), plus family seperation, whatever that is for your area, and possibly cola. I would really suggest talking to your finace office. They'll be able to give you exact numbers and set up a budget for you and your wife.
