I'm on a roll. Here are a couple more poems for you all to critique!
Prison of White
Wildly flying from wall to wall,
never finding a corner.
Terribly crying
and reaching for life,
and grabbing nothing but nothing.
In the midst of everything, nothing is found,
just lost to wander in a prison of white.
Brink of Destruction
I find myself lost in the darkness
Reaching toward what I shouldn't.
Wanting the forbidden,
And once every so often I'll touch it
And taste on fingertips,
The warm ecstacy of Taboo.
And I want more
But I've slipped a little
And it's further away.
For a little while longer
I'm safe from myself.
But try as I may
I cannot fight the urge for long,
And I'm back again
At the brink of destruction.
