I do not like in-depth research.

It ephemeral ,

meaningless next week

and anyway

the messenger‘s in masquerade

they are really just a bunch of naked guys

with clothes on.

The world is all teak and tile, brushed nickle

Scandinavian wall hangings or iron irons

decoupage and hodgepodge

everyone is pinning pins or gluing glue..

carving trees from wooden planks

sanity made insane by market demands

I like leisure hours under mosquito netting

cats and golden retrievers

I like Jamaican grottos, warm brown beaches

Guyana

and chickens in the kitchen and ducks

and seawalls.. Rrrrrum!

  1. i love that poem its lovely, did you write it?are u west indian?

  2. Nope, not a rant.  The muse has already slipped into your carry-on!

  3. Sometimes the difference between poetry and prose

is just how you arrange it

but I suppose if that's how it goes,

then there's no need to change it

Oh when poetry used to rhyme

the golden days were so sublime

now avant-garde poets spout petulant c**p

and all the good poetry has turned into Rap.

    (insert rhythmic record scratching here)

  4. Rant on, as we all do in one form or another, You tell a tale and speak your heart, Kudos!

And fare weather when and where, keep touch.

  5. No rant on buddy. some times it breads good poetry but have direct with it so your rant has a deeper mean then you can pass it off as insightful and more complex then a rant and hence you can become a poet

  6. 1) It is NOT a rant!

    2) Excellent images...both verted and inverted!

    3) I have my bags packed....got my ticket?

Goodonyer! Rum always makes the flight (of fancy) easier...no turbulence felt...higher than the plane!
