Morethanafeeling favourite for MSR Supporting Naas Hurling Apprentice Handicap
Morethanafeeling is tipped to prevail in the MSR Supporting Naas Hurling Apprentice Handicap at Naas in Ireland on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. A victory will earn her a cash prize of €4,830 in the end.
A total of 18 runners have been attracted towards the 1 mile event, which is scheduled to start at 20:30 GMT. The competition will be quite a close one, as none of the participants have got a bigger advantage over the other.
However, Morethanafeeling is in a good position right now and will definitely get the attention of the punters. She has been given a general starting price of 8 to 1 by the bookies, which shows that they have got full faith in her skills.
The six-year-old mare has participated in 25 events until now, but has managed to win just on a couple of times. She has also finished as third on the same number of times whereas secured the second place once. Her winning percentage is not good at all and
she will have to be a lot more consistent in order to gain more confidence.
The C. P. Donoghue’s trainee first appeared onto the scene in May 2009, but failed to make an impression back then. She took part in six races that year and the best she could manage was a third place finish.
A similar situation was seen in the next couple of seasons, as she struggled to catch the attention of anyone. She was absolutely inconsistent and it appeared that she would not win any race in her career.
Things started off in a bad way for Verglas’ daughter in the 2012 season, as she struggled to make an impression in her first couple of outings. However, Naas turned out to be a lucky venue for her, as she brought up her maiden victory here. She followed
that up with a runner up position and then went onto win another event, finally making her team proud.
Morethanafeeling did a decent job in her most recent race, finishing fifth in it. She was rated as the favourite back then, but disappointed her team. She will be looking forward to make amends today and will be partnered by Megan Carberry.
