http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 midfielder Morgan Amalfitano is a man with a heavy heart these days. After a terrible run of results that shows no signs of stopping, the former Lorient man has blasted his teammates who he feel are not giving enough to the cause.
While talking to Le Provence, the Frenchman delivered a long banter on his teammates even though he chose not to name anyone.
While talking to reporters, the 27-year-old says that his teammates should move away from a core of players who don’t want to do well for the club. the former Sedan man went even as far as suggesting that everyone in the team knows which player is putting
his heart to the team and which player is not.
“A core group of players made the effort. But I do not know if everyone has done so. We must get away with this core that wants to go after other things. We know who cheats and who does not cheat. You have to take those who want to do well.”
Though the player refrained from naming anyone in particular, it is now very clear that the club’s dressing room is divided and signs of mutiny could begin to emerge soon.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Morgan-Amalfitano-c26799 has performed valiantly in his first season at the Velodrome but the former Sedan man has now given up on motivating player as the threat of relegation looms.
Amalfitano says that some players have already developed a mindset which can’t be changed. Though many would say that his words are harsh, the Nice-born midfielder says that he has no regrets over his choice of words.
“I’m like that, even with my relatives. I am aware of what I do and what I can bring. I always stay in the same way and I prepare. If you deviated (from your objective), you will be cooked.”
However, it remains to be seen whether coach Didier Deschamps would appreciate the Amalfitano’s choice of words.
