Morgan De Sanctis is the best goalkeeper in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, insists the agent: Serie A news
The agent of Napoli goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Morgan-De-Sanctis-c26801, believes that his client is currently the best goalkeeper in the country.
Agent, Andrea Pastorello, insists that Juventus shot-stopper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833, is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world but the recent form suggests that De Sanctis is the best shot-stopper around.
The agent told the reporters, “Right now, out of all the Italian ‘keepers, De Sanctis is the one who offers the most security. Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon is still a great champion, but Morgan is the most in-form of the championship.”
The agent believes that his client is a corner stone of Napoli’s recent success but he is an unsung hero. He added that the veteran goalkeeper has pulled off some stunning saves throughout the season and he believes that a save
made is equal to a goal-scored. However, he insisted that the plaudits go to a goal-scorer in every game and no one notices the contribution made by the goalkeeper.
“He’s a symbol of strength for this Napoli side because it’s important to score goals, but it’s also very important to stop them. A shot saved is worth a goal scored.”
The 34-year-old recently played a huge role in securing a draw for his side in the UEFA Champions League encounter against German giants, Bayern Munich recently. De Sanctis saved a Mario Gomez penalty to keep his team in contention
for qualification into the knockout round of the competition.
His impressive performances for the Neapolitan tempted the national team manager, Cesare Prandelli, to play the former Udinese goalkeeper in a Euro 2012 qualifier win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Northern-Ireland-c2972 recently.
Pastorello insisted that his client deserved the call-up and he is expecting him to travel with the squad for the Euro 2012 next year.
“His international call up was more than deserved when you consider how important he’s been recently,” Pastorello added.
The Italian international joined the Partenopei outfit in 2009 and has made 95 appearances for them so far. The tall shot-stopper also has four international team appearances under his belt.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 are currently placed 4th in the league table with 14 points from 8 games played thus far.
