  1. I didn't get married until I was 29.  So I guess i was a failure for 7 years....at least i finally got it right!

I actually don't think being mormon has really that much to do about it.  To be honest, its more a UTAH thing than a mormon thing. It just happens that lots of mormons live in UT ;)

  2. No we do not have to get married at 22. We can get married at any age just like you.

  3. no, but it is common for members to marry very young.

  4. No, but if you really are gullible enough to believe that, I have some beach front property I would like to sell you....

  5. um no. there is and never has been a rule, suggestion, or time limit on a person of any age to be married by. where in the world did you hear this. we even have singles wards that are for the single adults of the area to come and have sacrament, and do activities together. there are two separate age groups... 18 -29 and 30 and up. if this were the case then the age group would be from 18-22 and that's it. also missionaries have to be single to go on a mission and the age group for that is men- 19- 26 and women 21 - 27. so again no, no, no. and i would seriously question your source of information because just a half second of research would have dispelled this rumor right away.

  6. No.  Mormons, like many other religious people, are often encouraged to marry young, but they aren't told they MUST get married at any set age.

  7. Absurd misunderstanding.   There is no age anyone is expected to get married in the LDS Church,. It is a personal matter up to the couples.    However, marriage and raising a family IS an expectation for LDS men and women and many do not postpone or procrastinate doing it, putting it as a priority in their lives.
