The ace South African pacer, Morne Morkel, on Thursday was all praise for the rookie fast bowler, Vernon Philander, for his impressive spell against the Kiwis in their first innings of the opening Test at Dunedin.
After being dismissed for a meagre first innings total of 238, the South African bowlers led the fight back, restricting the Black Caps to 243 for 9 at stumps on Day two of the three-match Test series, underway at the University Oval, Dunedin since March
7, 2012.

Morkel, the 27-year-old Transvaal pacer hailed Philander’s consistency and the ability to move the ball both ways.
"I think Vernon is just a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Timothy-Raymond-Ambrose-c94079 and is skillful," said Morkel speaking to media reporters at the post day press conference on Thursday evening.
"He's got consistency and the ability to move the ball both ways, plus he's got a slippery bouncer which makes him a tough bowler to face first up," he added further.
Philander, playing in only his fifth Test match, has 34 scalps to his name at an average of 13.23. In his eight Test innings, the rookie pacer has four five-wicket hauls and a ten-wicket haul as well.
