so i've recently decided that im going to start walking/jogging in the mornings. I'm homeschooled and ive always been involved in track/basketball and soccer and its like now ive become lazy from sitting at home . I definatly want to change that.

So is there any advice anyone can give me ? like how much sleep to get ? should i eat after or before i run? and if so how long before of after? just anything that might help any advice.

:)

I apreciate the help and advice.

  1. I always get at least 9 hrs sleep if im going for a run, you need to start a goal, if you competitive ( like me) i take a timer or something so i can beat myself. This is to keep me motivated and to show im improving. Having a dog makes me run too, great company.  i always eat after. A stitch is the last thing you need, i try and eat carbohydrates the night before i run, but always 6 hours b4 bed :)

  2. eat BEFORE you run. its such a bad idea to go run on an empty stomach, especially in the heat. u need some energy.. i would say an hour or two before, so that the food has time to settle. and get a good night's sleep so that you can be revived and energized in the morning.. thats really all there is to it =)

  3. get a lot of sleep so u will be energized in the morning.

eat something before you run (it can be something small, just enough not to make you feel sick during your run, trust me i know! LOL)

also, get some good running shoes, i particulately like nike shox.....i had to save my money and buy them myself.

i am also homeschooled, i like running and excersicing a lot too.

    good luck!
