  1. I say I'm not superstitious, but still catch myself trying to counteract any negative vibes. lol The salt thing, yes, also if I leave the house, forget something and return for it, I sit down for a few seconds before leaving again. My mom always said it was bad luck if you didn't. I don't take chance. It's silly, but something that was instilled in me at a early age. I wish on falling stars but after doing so for well over 40 yrs, I'm still not financially rich. Oh well, one day chickens, next day feathers! :)

  2. I absolutely always bend over and pick up a penny.  My husband teases me about picking up dirty coins in the parking lot but I do it anyway.  Gotta have that good luck!

See a penny and pick it up

All the day you'll have good luck.

See a penny and let it lay

No good luck will come your way.

  3. Knock wood. . . is about it !

  4. When i was a kid I herd the one about the crack/ mothers back so i went outside and stepped on one just to see if it was true. yes i was a bad kid lol

  5. evening dizz,(or rather late afternoon)

    avoid walking under ladders

    spilt salt over left shoulder

touch wood, or if there's none about, something that looks like wood.

don't walk on cracks in the pavement or the crocodiles will get you.

have a good day yourself !

  6. many many many!!!

One is I only approach my Horses from one side.  crazy, but a very old one from childhood!  good question

  7. Me? Well let's see, I make an X on the windshield of my car if a black cat crosses in front of me, If I spill salt I throw salt over my left shoulder. I wish on a falling star, make a wish and throw a penny in a fountain at the mall. Cross my fingers when I lie And when I was mad at mother I would step on all the cracks. Poppy

  8. Sure do - my grandmother ( dad's mom ) was Sicilian and we always had to do the salt over the shoulder if we tipped the shaker. My Dad also had to bring first thing into a new house salt and a broom.....I believe that's what it was?? to always have food and a clean home - something close to that.

My friends and I also always knock on wood - one of them started doing this a while back and now we keep doing it lol!
