  1. I read the pregnancy book... it said that when u wake up, its good to eat dry biscuit or toast to absorb the stomach acid... cos this acid is the cause of ur nausea... I took dry biscuits and it helps...

  2. Hate to be the party pooper, but nothing worked for me. I ended up getting a prescription, but I never took it because the doctor said it would make me really tired. I tried ginger, saltines, pretzels, eating before I get out of bed, going to bed early, took my prenatals before bed, avoided food smells, SeaBands, vitamin B6, Pepcid... you name it. I was even throwing up water. I eventually found the only thing I could keep down- those cheap Cup Noodles. But everyone is different.

  3. if you are a nurse then you should know a little about it...

you could try eating a biscuit before getting up, ginger ones are good..

also tea and toast.. or if you are suffering so bad that you cnt stop even when you move then you could go and see a doctor for anti sickness tablets..

    best of luck

  5. I had TERRIBLE sickness throughout my last pregnancy. The whole pregnancy all day long.

Here are some things that were suggested to me by my doctor and by friends and by people on babycenter.com.

Take a green apple let it sit out just long enough to brown a little and eat it.

Keep some crackers on the side of your bed and before you even get up eat those.

Get some vitamin B6 tablets from pretty much anyplace I found them at walmart

Make sure you are drinking as much water as you can during the daytime hours so youre not getting dehydrated at night...dont drink a lot at night though (for me I couldnt even keep down water especially not if it was all that was in my stomach)

If you wake up in the middle of the night grab a cracker or a piece of toast that way you are putting something on your stomach and its not going empty

At baby depot (I am sure they have them other places too) they have lollipops that are made to help morning sickness

    Suck on a peppermint

Drink hot chocolate (I cant remember why but this is supposed to help)

I know there was several more tips but I can not remember them

At your next appointment talk to your OB there are several pills they can give you that are safe for you to take that usually help

Let me also add that some people nothing does help...with me nothing helped but my baby also has some health problems and we think that it was my bodies way of telling me something was wrong...

That doesnt mean if nothing helps then your baby will have problems...for some people stuff just doesnt help.

  6. I feel ya!!! But!!!!!! my Dr told me that he wouldn't give me anything because me feeling sick meant to him that I was doing very good. SOOO I had to suck it up and deal with it (it's sucks though) I would get up about 1/2 hour earlier then I would normally, just so I could sit in the bathroom and relax myself and breath ( would normally puke and then feel better)

    What I have tried:

eating crackers before I got out of bed

    saltines

    oyster crackers

    dry Cheerios

    sour stuff

    ginger snaps

warm flat ginger ale (that helps for a little while)

    warm coke cola

    tic tacks

    gum

    peppermint gum

    peppermint tea

    toast

    sea bands

Good luck cause mine got worse at 8-9 weeks sometimes that's the peak of morning sickness!!

  7. Hi a friend of mine used to swear by ginger beer, You can get ginger tablets but you can only take a certain amount before they have the opposite effect. hope this helps xx

  8. Try eating crakers when you begin to feel nauseas. That is what my wife did & she said it helped.
