I had s*x on Tuesday and didn't take any precautions *wink* According to an online ovulation calculator I was supposed to ovulate between the 14th and the 18th but I haven't tracked this personally so I don't know for sure when I ovulated. Tuesday was the 19th so i'm assuming there is still a chance....My question is would it be possible for me to wake up this morning with nausea? It was horrible. I didn't vomit but I came close! Please, any advice or suggestions are greatly appriciated!

  1. The hormone that makes you sick comes from the fetus after implantation in the uterus. Implantation occurs 8-10 days after fertilization, so it's way too early for that. But you should maybe read up on ovulation as those online calculators are pretty vague. If you did ovulate when it predicted, then BD on 19th would not get you pregnant because the egg only lives between 6-24 hours. A really good (and FREE!) way of tracking ovulation is to chart your cervical mucus. Google 'EWCM' and there are lots of sites that can talk you through how to do that.

  2. It's really too soon to have nausea.  Could be something unrelated. When I was first pregnant, the only thing that I noticed different was very sensitive and sometimes sore nipples and b*****s.  That can occur as early as a few days after conception.  Following that was a sensitivity to strong or bad smells.  Those made me nauseous on occasion. I didn't have any other morning sickness besides that.
